What is a book sprint? Why would you want to participate? A book sprint is basically a book that is written in a day! I know… sounds crazy, but we actually have a renowned expert in book sprints here at Sussex, Prof. David Berry. So we have invited him to join us for Lunch on Wednesday, 25th January 2017 to celebrate the Academic Book Week by talking to us about book sprints.
But that is not all. We are actually going to get together and write one later on in the year! So on Wednesday, with the help of Prof. Berry we will find out how to organise one, recruit potential writers and actually organise a book sprint event later on in April.
You should keep in mind that you absolutely need to come to this event to help us set up the book sprint and to actually write a book with us. So please let us know if you are interested to start putting a list of potential participants together.
Meanwhile, if you want to find out a bit more if this is for you. Here is a link to a book co-written by Prof. Berry called On Book Sprints that may help you a bit until we actually get to talk to him about it.
Save the date on your diary, because this is something big and I promise, you want to be part of it!
